David Hume - Coorong to Kimberley

Home

"Glowing pigments on reflective steel sing to the textures, colours, and stories of the Australian landscape. Coorong landforms dance against the deep blue Southern Ocean while hot reds of the Kimberley bathe mountains, dry lakes and snaking streams."

This landscape work was triggered by a flight across the vastness of central Australia while returning from a painting trip to Venice. It is the third exhibition in which the artist has explored colours, textures and stories of the Australian bush.

Viewers may also wish to read a media release, or review.
